Congratulations on your speaking and listening marks - they were absolutely fantastic and you had clearly spent some time preparing them. Miss Sheldon and I were very impressed! It'll make a big difference to your mark overall.
Now we just need to work on the roleplay!

Stealing & Homework for w/b 24th January
In class on Thursday and Monday we looked at one of our Literature poems - 'Stealing' by Carol Ann Duffy. It's definitely one of my favourite ones in the anthology.
There's lots of information about the poem in the revision pack that I posted up previously. You should use this when answering your homework questions. I've also embedded the video we watched in class.
Homework for this week:
1. Complete the yellow booklet questions on 'Stealing'. Those of you aiming for As and Bs should also complete the extension questions, but they're a great revision tool for everyone.
2. Purple booklet: complete the first exercise on language and the first exercise on presentation.
4. Practise for your roleplay - you should know all your lines by heart.
If you need any help, come and see me BEFORE Monday.
If you want somewhere to practise your roleplay, let me know and I will arrange a time for you to use the classroom.

Speaking & Listening: Further Information
Remember, your first S&L assessment is on Tuesday 18th January. It's a group discussion and doesn't require peparation at home. The task is to prepare for your roleplay assessment, which (according to THE PLAN) you will be sitting on the 1st of February.
Next week, on the 25th of January, you will be sitting your individual S&L assessment. With Miss Sheldon's help I hope we'll get through them all!
In case any of you lose your sheets I've attached them below. The individual task and grade descriptors are both there - the grade descriptors sheet also contains the mark scheme for group work/ role play, so worth looking at that too.
